(KRON) -- A man tied to 57 organized retail thefts throughout Alameda County from 2025 to 2026 targeted 11 retailers, resulting in more than $74,000 in losses for those businesses, according to prosecutors.

Alameda County District Attorney Ursula Jones Dickson announced Thursday that she is prosecuting Haki McClain in four cases linked to the aforementioned crimes. McClain was also allegedly found with more than $35,000 in stolen merchandise.

“Mr. McClain’s theft activity extends beyond Alameda County. He has separate theft-related cases in Los Angeles County and San Mateo County, and he has been identified in alleged theft activity in other parts of Northern and Southern California, as well as in Nevada,” said DA Dickson in a news release.

McClain’s next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 3.
