Three people were rescued from the water in North Hills on Thursday morning.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said crews responded to the 15000 block of Parthenia Street around 9 a.m.
They located a woman who was rescued from the river and was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. The man was then rescued by an LAFD helicopter and will be taken to a local hospital.
Crews used an aerial ladder to lower a rescuer into the river to help get the third victim to safety.
Bystanders reported seeing a fourth victim and a few minutes later the LAFD confirmed a fourth person was safely out of the water before crews arrived.
